Biography

"Keeping your students - your students"

Here I will discuss the rotating curriculum that we started back in 1988. I know most schools use a rotating system, but we want to break it down to make sure all are using it to the fullest and best benefit for their schools. Also, how tip testing leads to exams, exams to renewals and retention. This will then lead us into a short recap of the black belt system.

"The Prize Wheel + Game"

Here we talk about how we use a karate game along with a prize wheel to get students actually making an appointment at a carnival or fair over just getting a lead. My wife's school in 3 months enrolled 162 new members from this and 102 of then renewed. WOW!

Master F. DePalma opened his first school in Newington, Ct under his instructor Greg Silva in 1986. 2 short years later Master DePalma was owning and operating 4 schools in CT. In 1990 he took a year off to travel the country and ended up in AZ. He left his schools in CT to the Head Instructors and opened in Gilbert, AZ in February of 1991. On opening day they had over 200 appointments set for the first 2 weeks. By the 2nd month they had enrolled on 12 or 18 month programs 204 students. Jumping ahead that school in Gilbert, AZ produced many talented martial artists and some who have gone on to run branch schools. Currently the DePalma organization has 8 locations in AZ run by some of the finest instructors. Master DePalma spends his time working with school owners from his TEAM to schools across the country. Master DePalma has had the privilege of being a member of the United States Marine Corps, speaking at many martial art events for a number of organizations, testing directly under the late GM Ed Parker, training in Martial Arts business as well as technique with some of the best in their field and most importantly being married to his wife Robin with two great boys Edge & Dagger. His 25 years plus of running successful martial art schools and being plugged in to the industry will allow all to learn and share with his seminars.

"It's not about what I've done. It's about what we can do for you."
